Top of the list:

1) Some (all?) members can't see the first PM they get from someone else.

2) Search results should be sorted by date -- or we should be able to specify how results are sorted.

3) #28 from our open issues list was apparently fixed and then broken again ... (http://forums.anandtech.com/me...d=42&threadid=2062967)

4) the disgust emoticon is non-functional -- (catches and replaces {: D} rather than {: Disgust} )
FIXED: :disgust:

5) tab from quick reply edit box should go immediately to the reply button not to the top of the page

6) Attatch code functionality needs to be fixed (formatting/layout issues).

7) searching for numbers is broken.

...

...

What else needs immediate attention?

Following this list, we will certainly request that the rest of the open issues that are still open be dealt with.

On (2), it would definately be great to see multiple sorting criteria (e.g. by rating, number of posts, date, etc).

Sometimes when threads or other forum pages load, the first post of the thread doesn't start until the bottom of the left sidebar.

Disgust emoticon is non-functional.

Searching for numbers doesn't work (e.g. 1950, 7600, etc.).

Your link to the thread in #3 has a ) in it which makes it not work.

Also, threads switch to linear view on pages other than the first page of the thread, when using Opera.

When I move a thread and check to notify the OP and posters of the thread being moved, I get an error. I have checked with the OP of some of the threads that I move and they tell me that they never received any notification of the thread being moved.

True. The thread gets moved but nobody gets notified.

I figure it's a forum issue and I'm posting here. It is, after all fairly urgent:

A few minutes ago the forums were down. Now they're up, but I cannot post a new thread in any forum I've tried. What's up?

Edit: OK, I guess it's an issue on my laptop... sorry.

I for one, would like to see a way to Clear the posts list in the My Forums / My Posts area
That way, the size of the list can be better managed by the user.

Clicking on Last Unread generates "Oops!" error in Opera, but only in certain extra-long threads (e.g. Superbowl thread). Doesn't happen in xtknight's LCD thread though, and doesn't always happen either. Makes me wonder if it only affects merged threads?

Also, the linear view starts from after the last post that was on screen. Maybe it goes away altogether if a reader has scrolled through all posts?

I agree, the entire PM system needs to revert back to the previous working version. It drives me nuts right now.

If you look at someone's profile from within a PM it brings up an 'Ooops, this is the worst software ever fucking created!' type page... but it's random; not all users bring up the oops page.

The PMs are still there. They are the first PM of each conversation with each member. Since you can't see the first PM it is also hard to earse....not impossibe though. Just click around to every view you can until you find it and earse.

This is the worst problem on the forum IMO. PLEASE fix the PM system!!

User profile should be a requirement.

Have many members not in US and that
becomes important when trying to converse.

If we are searching for posts by a particular user, can you add the option to only return threads started by that user, as opposed to any thread that user posted in?

Also I will add another vote for being able to sort the search results by date.

Here is my pet peeve. Change the button "Last Unread" to "First Unread"
