I think there is a lot of weather/radio/other equipment up there which is probably what's on fire.
 

I hope it's just something small not terrorist BS. They did say a while back that they wanted to fly a plane in the the Eiffel Tower. If it was I will take back everything I have said about France recently and back the French 100%.

The radio and television part of the tower is probably to blame. I would imagine the transmitter also has something to do with it.
