I looked through my TV box, and every single Top Gear episode is a repeat. I thought it was supposed to come on Tuesdays at like 11AM, but that one says repeat, and the one Sunday is also a repeat.

Maybe my TV doesn't have the info right, so should I set it to record anyhow? When is it coming on in US for everyone else?

It won't be on BBCA for at least a year, and it'll be edited in an annoying way and presented in a shitty SD transfer. Alternative means for viewing the BBC version are preferable.

Agreed.

EDIT: I just checked Wikipedia, and it seems the ZR1 will be featured in tomorrow's episode, so just obtain it then. On other sources.

BBCA is useless and they're just encouraging people to look for other ways to view their material.

What exactly do they edit from the episodes before they come over to BBCA?

It depends. They have to edit them to fit in commercials, but they also edit for content (James seems to say "cock" in every one of the races). Typically this will mean chopping out part of a test drive, shortening the news, and/or eliminating part of a celebrity interview. (The latter is usually OK with me - I often fast-forward through these interviews when they're some British athlete or TV news anchor I've never heard of.) Overall the BBCA show is REALLY watered down relative to the BBC one.

I think it's kind of annoying that Hammond was testing the SRT on an auto gearbox, of course it's going to be shit. But I really love the Dodge Challenger, it is so nice looking, I really want the '09 SRT8 with all the goodies.

This episode was incredible.

Watching Clarkson and Hammond set off the alarms was fucking brilliant. Can you imagine standing there, next to a ZR1 and an SRT8, as they were bouncing them around the tach, with enough force and strength to shake cars? Jesus.

😀 at May through the twisties.

They loved them.

Wow... and I thought that Clarkson was required to hate ALL of the American cars he reviewed out of some distorted sense of national pride. Now I want to see this episode as well!

Contrary to popular perception, Clarkson often has praise for American cars, but it's often surrounded by glib comments about how fat Americans are, how antiquated many suspension systems are set up, and so on. He loves the Vette, though he seemed to prefer the base C6 to the Z06 just on a comfort basis.

The breakfast where Jeremey moved Richard's car into the road was shot in my town (Ely, NV). Funny thing is, they went to the absolute resturant in town. Also, I think they were here a couple of days before the Silver State Classic road race, where they shut down a 100 mile stretch of highway and have a time trial race. It would have been cool to see them do that.

Just BT it. Love this episode. Great looking cars. I had chills when they had all three cars posing at the top of Twin Peaks. Hamster taping up the front grill of his challenger @ Bonneville was LMAO worthy.

That episode made me want a ZR-1 or a CTS-V even more. The Challenger looks good...but comes off as a dud in that group (of admittedly more expensive) cars.
