"Top Gear" host ASSAULTS producer with big fat meat hand

Done?

Jeremy could walk and start his own web series over night and his life would carry on.

If he, Dick, and James created their own web show...I'd pay for it in a heartbeat. This is prime Fodder for a Netflix/Amazon/Hulu/HBO. If BBC takes the show, they should create a new show on one of these services. It would be a huge deal for whichever provider picks them up and cost a lot less than something like Marco Polo.

Either BBC fires him or they look really dumb and weak. He was already supposed to be on hard probation. So the BBC follows through or anything they say going forward is just BS.

They set the terms and he walked over the line.

This is one of the BBC's prime properties. Kicking Jeremy off the show would be like kicking Steve Jobs out of Apple. We all know how that went over.

People hated this guys already for being a rude, racist dirt bag. I think he's done.

350 million viewers around the world say otherwise. The BBC would be insane to get rid of him, as someone else would snatch him up in a heartbeat.

Damn right.

Make a new segment regular segment out of it. "Jeremy is a twat" or something like that. Have him do offensive shit every single week.

I'd watch that.

Top Gear is more than the hosts, it's the sum of everyone involved in production. Don't assume a spinoff elsewhere will be anywhere near as good as the show currently is.

Have you ever watched the other shows that Hammond, Jeremy and James do? They are all really fun to watch. Top Gear USA on the other hand...I'd rather watch paint dry.

Isn't Top Gear the most popular television show in the world? The BBC has lost their minds. No way will I watch the show without Clarkson.

Top Gear USA is one of the worst shows ever.

BBC Top Gear is awesome, and I hope Jeremy can stay. Even if he is a bit of a prick, hes still very entertaining.

agreed.

top gear USA is terrible. i would rather go to hooters with shorty then watch it.

I can't believe you guys would protect Obama like this from punching Netman Yahoo, just because you like his politics. Bad behavior is bad behavior and actions have consequences. This kind of lack of personal responsibility is what creates ghettos. The guy committed a crime and has to do the time. Fucking liberals.

What's weird about this situation is that we keep getting different levels of severity. The only official quote we seem to get is that there was a "fracas", but I've seen some articles state that he "threw a punch" and some (and this thread) state that he punched the producer.

So I am assuming you tried to make a joke by using what you perceive as the logic of those you disagree with. Am I right?

I like Jeremy.

So he punched a twat. Big deal.

Seconded, he is being paid to be a douche. He just really lives the character he portrays and is the type of talent that requires a handler.

Come on BBC, get him back on the screen and just cut a better contract with him where he has to pay up every time he makes a douche-maneuver (punches producers, makes racists comments etc.). Like a swear jar but with large cheques instead of small change.

This stuff is what makes Jeremy awesome. He's a caricature. He represents old world British imperialism and willful ignorance of other cultures. It is hilarious to watch.

Crimes can be forgiven based on how much you like a person?

Man, I am sure glad raging meatheads aren't in charge of the laws in society.
