My favorite top gear episode was the table vs that matchbox on wheels

Will insurance pay for a helicopter that was use for a stunt?
And, how much that Cobra cost?

I think they did. I was just thinking this the other day when watching a new episode. Seems they don't have a guest, track times, or the stig like the UK version. I definitely think that the American version is getting way better than when it first started. The hosts seem to work better with each other when in the first couple of seasons everything seemed so forced.

i would assume that the owner would not put that type of property in use without insurance...

Courtesy Aircraft has one listed at $695,000.

i think thats actually an AH-1* Super Cobra... which would be Millions of dollars

No, it is clearly a single engine AH-1.

I still don't get why they would make any version of TG besides the BBC UK one (not to confused with BBC America). TG USA looks retarded. And now you have a TG Asia, with an Asian guy driving? Are they looking for the comedy factor here?

The only thing that seems forced is my hatred of said hosts. Jesus they picked some awful people.

Foust is tolerable. He makes a good 'Hammond.' But the other two are just painful to watch/listen to. IMO they're trying to target a young crowd, which is odd, because it's the young crowd that started watching Top Gear UK before it ever aired in the US. They need a couple of mature (but still silly as shit, like Clarkson) hosts. Kill that Rutledge guy in a fire. And the actor/comedian who, despite seeming to be a decent actor (see: Rescue Me), is cornball as shit. And not funny.

I wish they would've gotten Jay Leno. His late night show sucks, but I think he'd be great on a car show.

They'd have to pay him billions and he would still blow. He ripped off Top Gear when he did his failed 'Jay Leno Show' which was just unwatchable. He would be horrible on that show. I think Adam Carolla would be a much better choice. He's a gear head and he's funny as hell maybe pair him up with Matt Farah.

I agree with you though that Tanner Foust is a decent choice and that the other two suck.

While I agree that they are not really that great, at least they are getting better from when the first season started airing. Honestly it was so hard to watch the first season due to the awkwardness of it all. Now at least they know how to communicate and talk with each other a bit better.

Jay Leno might be interesting plus he has all the cars they would ever need to film :)
