and here i was thinking that getting 27mpg highway in my camry was doing great. i took a road trip in july was was barely able to squeeze out 500 miles in 1 tank.
One thing I noticed though was they stated things in miles and gallons at times, with it being a BBC/UK based show, I wondered, why?
Do they always do that?

Why even buy into this BS? Its not real world--and neither is the government EPA ratings on cars. If you drive short trips, stuck in everyday bad traffic, etc. then you can expect city EPA results at best.

I have driven 5,127 miles on 0 gallons of gas. I have infinite MPG so far. As soon as they put a gas tank in my car, maybe I will put gas in it. Or not.

I've never made a habit of watching the BBC Top Gear since I don't have legal means to do so but do watch the USA one.
