MAJOR VICTORY FOR U.S.
The arrest is a major coup for the United States. The Arabic-language Al-Jazeera news agency reported this week that in an interview conducted in June, Binalshibh claimed responsibility for the Sept. 11 attacks and that Mohammed identified him as the ?coordinator? of al-Qaida?s ?Holy Tuesday operation.? Sept. 11, 2001, was a Tuesday.

The arrest is not only a major break in the investigation of the Sept. 11 attacks, but a major blow to the leadership of Osama bin Laden's al Qaeda terror network. Binalshibh has described himself as al Qeada's operational leader.
He is believed to have tried to be the 20th hijacker in the 9/11 plot, but he was denied a visa, preventing him from entering the United States from Germany.
