I cant believe that so many people still have Bioshock on their must owns. The game is good don't get me wrong, but its not this revolutionary experience like everyone says. If replayability is what you desire, then Bioshock will, at most, give you three play throughs (if you start on the easiest difficulty, which you shouldn't). While I DID enjoy the experience, I found myself using the same guns and plasmids over and over because they were the most effective. The "choice" aspect really played NO part at all in the overall game which really disappointed me. It's a fairly standard FPS with great environments and magic.

Like someone else said before, Bioshock is an experience that no other current game can match. The atmosphere in the game is incredible, the take on the genre is fresh and innovative, and the story is pretty well done. I agree that choice played really no part in the overall story like it was hyped, and you could easily stick with the same guns and plasmids to get through the game. But you weren't forced to, you did that by choice. All weapons and plasmids had their effectiveness.

Bioshock was one of the most original games I've played in a long time. It took me probably around 12 hours to beat it, and I'll most likely never play it again. But I still consider a must-play for FPS/adventure fans.

BioShock had the best plot of any FPS game I've ever played and the combat system was able to be varied enough that it did not get old for me. I highly recommend playing on Hard the first time through to get the full experience.

1. Gears of War
2. Halo 3
3. Assassin Creed
4. Bioshock*
5. Call of Duty 4*

*I haven't played these yet, but heard good things about them and reviews are good. Bioshock is on order and COD4 I will wait for discount.

I still think NFS:MW is the best NFS game on 360.

I agree, although I've only played it on PC. I thought MW was a refreshing change of pace that captured some of what NFS used to be about, mainly the cop chases. 🙂 I had a lot of fun throwing on some of my own tunes and then just free roaming on the interstate while being pursued by the police. Carbon was disappointing and kind of lame, Pro Street also looks pretty mediocre.

Also, am I the only person who didn't think Bioshock was that great? I played it all the way through and was certainly impressed by the story and presentation, but otherwise I thought it was just a run of the mill FPS experience. I recognize that it's a good game, but I guess it just wasn't my thing.

1: COD4
2: Madden 07 (haven't gotten 08)
3: Fight Night 3
4: COD2
5: ? Don't know haven't really played any games besides those and I've previously owned GOW, Oblivion etc.

1) Call of Duty 4 (MP Rocks - far deeper than Halo3)
2) Bioshock
3) Halo3 (for SP story, it's a lot of fun - and the custom games are great with friends.)
4) GH3 or Rock Band
5) Sports Game (Madden or NBA, FIBA if you like it) or Racing Game

Tomorrow though, that might shift as Mass Effect comes out.

People are going to laugh, flame, whatever...I don't care. Gaming is very much a subjective thing, and you have to ask yourself what you like more than anything.

My favorite 360 games:

Kameo (launch title, very much an awesome fantasy based RPG adventure though), Earth Defense Force (for the split screen coop and just the sheer campy retro feel), Burnout Revenge (for the speed and crashes), Gears of War (because, even tho I suck with controls on a gamepad, Gears really gets the balance right, and I was able to play through because of that), and Every Extend Extra Extreme (sheer gaming goodness, I suck at it, but I have a lot of fun sucking at it)

I've heard Crackdown is a lot of fun, need to check it out at some point. I bought GH2 and a guitar controller for the PS2, and I really can get into it, but that's what's great about gaming, different people can enjoy different genres and have fun doing it.

Has anyone mentioned The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion yet? Pretty sure there's a Game-of-the-year edition coming out; that should have all of the downloads too. That game'll keep you busy for hundreds of hours if you will let it.
