I would tend to agree with you, but there are a whole lot of artists that are pretty dang good and have influenced music *a lot*. Not one Sabbath Song? Zepplin? Some of the foundations of rock aren't there and they influence music a whole lot. Some could argue that they influenced it badly, but I wholly disagree.

The list blows.

The List...

1. That link is not to the list. That link is a link to a page, which links to another page, which links to the list.

2. The list sucks. As others have mentioned, they don't even have some of the most popular and influential bands in history, while at the same time having songs which just plain suck.

I guess this list suits the odd leftist group that listens to NPR.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NPR

The NPR Web site offers NPR annual reports, 990s, and audited financial statements. According to the most recent 2005 financial statement, currently NPR makes just over half of its money from the fees and dues it charges member stations to receive programming. About 2% of NPR's funding comes from bidding on government grants and programs (chiefly the Corporation for Public Broadcasting); the remainder comes from member station dues, foundation grants, and corporate underwriting. NPR member stations raise money through on-air pledge drives, during which programming is interrupted and listeners are encouraged to donate money to keep the station on the air.

Who cares? It's a list of music some people think is great. Everyone has different music tastes, and everyone thinks another song is the best.
