Question Top 27" 1440p high refresh rate gaming monitors?

Looking to possibly make the jump from 1080p to 1440p for gaming....

Looking for the top tier recommendations for 27" 1440p 144~165hz+ gaming monitors with fast response times and low input lag. To be clear, looking for 27", no larger.

What are the top models as of Nov 2021?

I am happy with my Asus ROG XG27AQM. It is a 240Hz IPS, up to 270Hz. About $700. There is also an Aorus equivalent, and the Samsung Odyssey G7 if curved is ok.

I bought the samsung G7 because I am curious how curved would be. It got really high ratings for response times and input lag so I am kind of excited to try it. I also purchased the HP Omen X 27 off ebay from someone who had it new for a pretty good price($400+tax). So I will probably be picking one of those 2.

Obviously, there's mort to consider than refresh rate? What kind of panel? TN, IPS, VA?
I'm looking seriously at the Dell S2721dgf. Maybe not the "best" 27" at any price, but for my budget, it ticks the most boxes. If budget wasn't a concern, MAYBE the Samsung G7.
