Not really. Several times different groups tried and failed. The genre died.
Seems like every time they try to revive it they screw it up.
Morrowind and Oblivion are OK, but a little too free-roaming and slow paced. Same with Fallout 3.
Bioshock stunk like ass, but at least it was successful.
Fable is sort of along the same lines buts its pure console.

We desperately need Deus Ex 3, now.

Ah another person who played Wolfenstein. :thumbsup: Myst and neverwinter rocked as well.

I loved Deus Ex, one of my all-time favorites.

But it was actually heavily influenced by another game, System Shock. Some called Deus Ex System Shock 2.5
