Top 100 NES games

I feel like a top 100 is just too big... you can include everything and make it non-controversial. Top 20... that's about right.

Also, this list is trash. Dragon Warrior III, a genuine classic, is number 96 or whatever? WTF?

The list reminded me of how much money I spent renting NES games growing up. It also reminded me that I'll never that the free time to play that many games again.

I find it funny that you claim a top 100 is too big because you can make it non-controversial and then afterward you immediately claim the list is trash because one of your favorite games is at 96.

They usually have Super Mario Brothers 1 as #1 on these lists.

List is finished now. No Double Dribble in the top 100 at all???? I am severely disappointed.

Dragon Warrior 3 is possibly the best game on the system. DW4 was rated higher by the fans and critics, but I always liked 3 better. I loved a lot of the non popular games on this system.

Same. I loved the days of the 8-bit era. Beat more than 300 NES and SMS games during that time. man, i was such a loser 🙁

I must say SMB3 at #1 is a little bit surprising. Most lists like this usually put SMB1 as first. It's well deserved though.

Edit: All of the top 12 are pretty much spot on, except maybe Final Fantasy. But then again, I never had a boner for FF like a lot of gamers do, so that might just be me.

I did explain my surprise. Most lists rank SMB1 as #1, it being the granddaddy of post-crash gaming. IGN in fact did rank it as #1 for their top 100 games of all time list. SMB3 was the better game over all though.
