no surprise there,
just look at all the aid donations he has given
You mean like "poverty reduction in parts of the Commonwealth and elsewhere in the developing world?" Yeah right.

And I'll be honest with you, when a man's worth $60+ billion, I do not credit him for making some chartiable donations. I do not feel he's deserving of huge humanitarian awards unless he's able to single-handedly jumpstart some third-world nation's economy. Why? Because he's got that much money, that's why.

Well let's be honest. In developing countries Micro$oft products are all counterfeit. In the developed world, people with means (or their governments) pay retail for Bill Inc.'s crappy (albeit somewhat useful) software. Gates has used his largesse to build a $100m personal palace and a myriad of personal toys but he's sprinkled billions across the globe (primarily to those same developing countries than steal his product).

Mick Jagger vs Bill Gates . . . no contest. One uses rehab while the other has rehabilitated entire health systems. As long as Linux is allowed to propagate and Bill is robbing the haves to give to the have nots . . . he can have knighthood and prima nocte as far as I care . . . granted he better ask for permission . . . from the wife of course.;)
