could someone add to this list? I've looke everywhere and couldn't find any site that have anything similar.... noted that my list is not in any particular order.

i only know...3?

1. Intel Celeron 300A - 300mhz easily upped to 450mhz.
2. AMD 2500+ barton core - dunno.
3. AMD 3000+ Venice core - shrugs.

dude more replies if you had it in the cpu forum...

BTw this has been posted before in the cpu section..
may want to do a quick search for info...

Yep, wrong section.

If the mods move it, dont forget to add the P4 2.4C to that list. The 2A was also a good overclocker.

6. Athlon 2500+ (good, but % wise not up to 1700+)
5. Athlon 64 3000+ venus
4. Pentium 4 1.6B
3. Opteron 146 CABYE
2. Pentium 4 2.4C
2. Athlon 1700+ T bred B 1.5V (up to 2.5-2.6ghz... but only 1.47 stock...crazy)
1. Celeron 300A (classic and frequent 50% and up OC's)

Oh, and the centrinos would make it big here as well. but not that widely adopted

And the Celeron 300A successor, the 566...making 850 easily...and his successor, the 1200 Tualatin, making 1600 easily (mine actually made 1780 :Q )

Running one of those right now. 😀

(Mine's "only" at 2.4GHz, but that's still one hell of an overclock for a chip with a 1.46GHz stock speed 🙂)

The days of 440BX mobos were the glory days as far as I am concerned 🙂

Mobile Bartons (2400-2600)
Pentium MMX (166-233)
AMD K6 (166-233)
AMD 486DX2/DX4 (66-133)
