I got #7. Guess I should of waited a few months and got #1. Oh well, I'm thankful for what I have. :)

I closed the window when I saw:

#2. Mazda 6 $19,670
The secret of the 6's appeal is in the details ? the chunky feel of the shifter in your hand, the smooth, eager power delivered by even the base four-cylinder. Though this is a bread-and-butter family car, it's clear that the people who tuned the steering and suspension care about driving. The 6 constantly surprises with its abilities. Go ahead, put five golf bags in the trunk. Somehow, they fit. This is the kind of car you name and keep driving long after it's paid for. Maybe you could afford something else, but the 6 gets under your skin.

At the office I usually park next to a guy who owns g35 coupe and yeah the author got that right. After parking my car I always turn around once to look at his g35

i'd take a MkV GTI DSG over the A3 any day. save thousands, without the compromise of luxury and performance.

Toyota doesn't make an exciting car though.

Terrible list. How can they have a Audi A4 but no Acura TL? How could they have a Mazda 6 but not a Honda Accord? Why a Lancer and not a WRX STI? Or a Audi A3?

#1 and #9 are pretty good for the cash, but the rest of the list is pretty bad. As for #10, I would have just put "SRT-8 group." You basically have four vehicles, all around the same price, with the same huge engine -- so pick your favorite.

I love Mazdas, but I am extremely surprised to see the 6 in there, and even more surprised that it's #2.

The new 2008 is supposed to be significantly bigger, though. Praying that it doesn't lose any of its zoomzoom.

I wonder if Ezra Dyer is a guy or a girl. Google turns up mostly guys. Sounds to me like a ladies name. Hmmm.

I have to agree that the list is pretty bad since I would love to see an Acura TL on there. An Accord is probably too boring for his/her list and he/she probably likes the EVO much better over the STi, but o well. The EVO is a bit faster and probably more fun to drive with all it's electronic features.

I don't have the mazda 6 but it is a real good car. Its affortable, good style, reliable, and its everything the target audience wants from the mazda 6. MotorTrend, Autiomobile, and Car and Driver all agree.

I was under the impression that they were comparing the cars directly, not based on only their success to their target audience.

meh...agree with the 'vette, that's about it.

GTO, RX-8, STi, Mustang, 350Z, Miata, Solstice are all good bang for the buck cars.
