actually, it was the top 50, but i'd rather not type them all out.

the list is limited to hunting firearms and the past 100 years.

i am not a gun expert (or anything close), so i thought i'd see what ATOT had to say about the list 🙂

10. Remington Model 870
9. Remington XP-100
8. Benelli Autoloader
7. Remington Model 700
6. Winchester Model 94
5. Smith & Wesson Model 29
4. Remington Model 1100
3. Winchester Model 12
2. Mauser Model 98
1. Winchester Model 70 (pre-1964)

dude, are you a hunter?

I not much into hunting weapons, but I'd have thought the 870 would be higher on the list.

nope. i haven't even held a gun before in my life. well, there was that light gun that i used to play Duck Hunt 😀

i get Field and Stream magazine for free for some reason....probably a Hot Deal i signed up for mindlessly 😛

I used to hunt all the time, in the last couple years I've lost the urge.
The model 1100 is a nice gun for small game. None of the top 15 would be my choice for deer hunting.

The Benelli autoloaders are the shizznit. I like the auto-five for nostalgia, but its llike lugging a cinderblock compared to the Benelli autoloaders. I've got two.

i wub Elmer Fudd

Proud owner of an early 60s Winchester Model 12. I'd trust that gun to hell and back. Nothing beats a light pump when you're walking for phesants all day. Carried my step-fathers 1100 for about an hour, a nice gun indeed, but heavier than a SOB.
