Toothpaste

When I was a kid, you would walk into a store and there would be one type of crest, one type of colgate, one type of aquafresh (Heck I remember when aquafresh was new), and one type of rembrandt ( the smokers toothpaste). Now, you walk into a store, and there are 15 types of crest, 15 types of colgate, 4 types of aquafresh, Oral B -Rembrandt, Arm and Hammer, and other assorted toothpaste. Why so many?

Do we need 4 different types of whitening? Are any of the toothpastes better? If so, why have the others on the shelf?

If buying toothpaste is "hard" for you, then you might have issues larger than being a confused oral care consumer... just buy one and be on with it, if one was THAT much better than the rest, there'd be some evidence for it. Toothpase is toothpaste.

sorry 😛

Just in case you start trying them all out, don't get Vanilla Crest, it's sticky and leaves an aftertaste. All other Crest toothpastes are ok, although I prefer orange.

1) Is it recommended by the ADA (almost all of them are)
2) Is it the cheapest stuff on the shelf?
3) Can you put up with the taste?

there. (I buy Aquafresh)

There's only one right toothpaste, and all the others will lead to an early grave... or worse. You have to choose the right one, if you want to live.

A cheap box of Arm and Hammer baking soda is just as good as any toothepaste on the shelves. It will last you for a year at least.

Its disgusting how much shelf feet crest and colgate get in most places, and its usually far more stock on the shelves than could possibly be needed. Not to mention they suck as well.

Colgate Total really does help control tartar, so less scraping needed when you go in for your cleaning and possibly less damage / decay.

I prefer Colgate...worst shi'ite is Crest Cinammon, got a free tube tried it horrible after taste, doesn't feel like you're brushing your teeth but eating something...
