seriously though. Toothpaste -> poor man's alternative to cleaning solutions (for CDs)

Another use is to fill up tiny holes in your dry wall. You know, those holes left by an old picture hook that no longer has a painting hanging from it? Just put some toothpaste on a toothpick and dab it in that little hole. Works like a charm.

You can use it as thermal paste for your CPU. I forget where the link for that site is... some guy used many different substances for thermal transfer on the CPU / HSF and toothpaste was one of them.

It's what they recommend you use on dive masks when you first get them. The low-abrasion cleaner can remove the chemical film from the manufacturer on the glass and keep it from fogging up as bad.... It works great.
