1 day, all of my upper teeth on the right side hurt.
the dentist perform root canal on 2 of them already because they were hurting when she was knocking. those 2 are healing fine.

now, today, the another tooth on the same row is aching the most. i cant even touch it!
what is going on???
i would trade a broken finger for a toothache man. its madness.

she said i should take amoxicillin and wait and see before doing another root canal.

UPDATE 3-2-13
went to another dentist. no choice but to go ahead and perform 3rd root canal.

Just go to a dentist! If you have an infection in the tooth it can spread causing brutal issues.

Internet dentistry is a pretty hard practice.

And most (most, not all) dentists are r-tards. So g'luck with that.

either that or she did a poor job with the 2 original root canals and you'll need a retreat.

the amox is to prevent an infection not to clear up an existing one. are you on 500mg amox 3/day?

also, what number? if it's one of the molars she might have missed a canal, some people have 4th transverse canals that are hard to spot unless you go to a endo who is using a microscope to do the rt tx.

anywho, with that kind of pain, i wouldn't wait, she didn't give you any pain meds? typically ibuprofen 800mg are enough, no need for the heavier shit.

the first root canal done for #4 on monday. she told me to take amox IF the swelling occurs. no swelling.
#3 was a capped tooth and was starting to ache, not severe though. so she removed the cap and root canal it on thursday.

so #3 and #4 do not bother me today until the pain for #5 was excruciating till today.

now that im in a lot of pain with the adjacent tooth #5, she suggest i start taking the amox 3 times a day asap. before doing another root canal. dammit. i've stopped taking ibuprofin 600mg because its useless. really

 I was referred to an Endontist to do my root canal a couple weeks ago. Excellent results too. Highly recommend seeing an Endontist for this type of work.

This guy was awesome. Took me in on a Friday but because I had taken ibuprofin in the AM my tooth wasn't aching and we were unable to determine which tooth it was. The next day it was throbbing and I knew which one it was so I called them up and they came in on a Saturday to do the root canal. I would highly recommend him if you're in the north county san diego area.
