Tool Set for server site

Hi,

I am trying to assemble a list of all hardware tools I should have available at my server location. I will be doing all computer repair, maintanance, build up, etc, as well as all network assembly. All stuff needs to be there, including multimeter, etc.

If you have any ideas on what should be in my tool box please let me know.

Thanks

Jason

Most repairs can be done with a good #2 phillips screwdriver. This will be your most used tool. I'd also like to have available a small and medium straight blade job. Some PC's use torx type screws so I'd also have one of those exchangeable bit screwdriver kits (straight, phillips, torx and nutdrivers) The nutdrivers are very handy to have around.

I'd also like to have a small diagonal cutter, small needle-nose plier, a pair of medical homestats (locking type of needle-nose) a small wattage soldering iron and some rosin core solder, an ATX power supply tester (HERE) and a decent digital multimeter.

I'm sure there are other things you'll find over time that would be handy to have around, but this is a good start and what I keep locked up in my server room at work. I also have a can of electronic contact cleaner spray and WD-40.

You might want to look through some catalogs for electritions and such. They usually have computer related setups.

There has been a few other really good threads on topics such as this. I actually made a list last time there was one but its at work right now. I will post it tomarrow.

I appreciate the help. I need to assemble a list w/reasons to my Board, and I really only want to ask them about this once. As long as I have a reasonable explanation for needing something, I will get it, so any logical item you guys can think of, please be forward with it. Also, reasons for needing will be helpful in case I cant think of a reason.

Remycanad, your list would be a wonderful help!

Thanks

Jason
