It was $14 but on sale for $9.99. Not sure if this is all B&M or just the one I was at (Oldsmar, Florida) so this might be a YMMV.

Edit: It is not censored. There's a definite 'F bomb' in the song 'Pot'.

Others have posted saying Best Buy & Circuit City also have it for $9.99.

*****************

As far as the quality of the CD, I think it's very good but not their best. Like any Tool album it takes a few spins. My favorite songs are Right in Two (10), The Pot (5), Vicarious (1), and Rosetta Stoned (8)

Not a bad price. Wal-Mart only sells edited versions however. Just so people know.

What? Is this true? If so I have to edit the topic.

I hate WallyWorld anyway. If this turns out to be true I'll return my CD and get it somewhere else. If they refuse I'll just never shop there again.

lol millionaire musicians gotta eat too. This is a pretty nice price for a new release. I don't pick up CDs new anymore, can't afford to, so many that I want.

the packaging on the new CD is second to none. Got a copy at the radio station ~week ago. For once in LONG TIME its worth buying the CD just to see the album art.

It's $9.99 at Best Buy this week. Great album, but then again I may be biased. ;)

**NOTE - IT IS CENSORED!!

I would never buy a CD from Wal-Mart because they edit them. But...I don't think they make sense--They sell UNRATED dvds which usually means xecess violence, sex/nudity, or language. Go Figure...

They used to sell unedited stuff and I beleive they may still do so...BUT, if there is an edited version of an album available they will ALWAYS sell the edited version. It should say on the cd case if it is the edited version.

This is a very good Tool album. Not their best. It also takes a few listens to really get into it.

One reviewer said it best. This album is a meal, not a snack. Meaning to truly enjoy it, you have to listen to it straight through.

The best tracks in my opinion are: Vicarious, Rosetta Stoned, The Pot, Jambi.

There are several Tool filler songs in between, so you get 60 minutes of Tool music plus 20 minutes of esoteric filler.

I would give this a 7.5 out of 10.

There's only one version of this album, just as there was only one version of Lateralus.

If you're shopping for CDs in Wal-Mart and want to make sure you're not buying something that has been censored, you can always tell by checking the Wal-Mart price sticker, which will say EDITED in bold letters and the top of the packaging which will have the same.

I love Tool - probably my all-time favorite band - but sure wish they didn't put these 'filler' songs on their albums. I agree with your picks but think you left out the best or at least 2nd best song on the album, 'Right in Two'. I'd put Jambi in 5th. To each their own, right? ;)

Tool is my all time favorite band. I did forget to put Right in Two. My bad. My rankings would be Vicarious, Rosetta Stoned, Right in Two, Jambi then The Pot.

For me, Tool filler killed the Meadowlands show in 2002. The were aggressive and tribal during that show and then they went into a twenty minute version of one of the instrumentals from Lateralus and killed all the momentum of that concert. It was by far the best hour of a concert I have ever been at until that break.

I am so psyched to be going to the NYC Center show on the 19th. I can't wait. :p

Great packaging. Wish the cd weren't difficult to get out of the package, though.

Picked up my copy at BestBuy yesterday and got the strngest look from the Teeny-popper chick at the checkout. Hell of a price and just like Tool's last release (Lateralus) you have to listen to the whole album in one sitting to really get a feel for it. You loose a lot of the prog-ness by just skipping around. Also, I think it should be mentioned that Danny Carey is one of, if not the best drummers I've ever heard.
