I was at Microcenter looking at cases the other week, and out of all of the cases that they had, nearly 90% had various "tool less" designs. None of which I wanted.
WHY, pray tell, are case designers eschewing the most standard and useful of fasteners, the simple screw. Cheap, easy to work with, and functionally optimal for holding down pieces of metal to one another.
I've used a Cooler Master "elite 330" case recently, and of the various tool-less designs, it seemed least worst. But still, the HDs didn't mount securely, there was room for vibration, and the PCI card slot holder wouldn't secure down, resulting in a video card that constantly worked its way loose. At least, for this case, there was the option of still using good old screws instead, which I did. Other various fastener designs are not so lucky.
Why is this the common scenario? Why wont they give us back our good old screws?!?!
