just out of curiosity, why do you want to do that? do you yearn to become deaf? If you have heat problems, consider aftermarket HSF or water cooling, dont you dare crank the thing to 100% or i might hear it from here at night.
DO NOT get an Accelero X2 cooler. The ram pads have super glue. Impossible to remove. I tried heating my card (ran 4 loops of 3dmark06) and it still wouldn't even budge.
the only reason i wanted it was ive noticed sometimes that if im playing a medium to low graphic intensive game the fan won't run fast enough to keep it cool and since my cpu and mobo run soo cool those fans run slower too and not much airflow gets through and vid card gets hot. my cpu idles at 22C and my chipset idles around 40-45C. i was going to play around with the fan speeds to see if this helps.
edit* hahah wow it is pretty loud. i had no idea. 100% is a bit too much. although at 100% it is dropping the temperature of my chipset since the DFI board i have sets up so that the vid card practically covers the chipset. it sucks.
I've found out that the stock cooler with AS5 and 100% on the fan keeps my GPU cooler than the Zalman did. Plus, I don't have hot air stuffing up my case temps anymore. If you can take the sound, your GPU will benefit. I'm only doing this until my radiator comes in though.
