Tool/A Perfect Circle: Deeper meanings or just music?

Like it says. Some say that Tool/A Perfect Circle albums are somehow....deeper....then what one would see on the surface. others say hey, its just music. What do you think. Is there some deeper meaning behind the music, or is it just another band making music?
