I use a really nice Canon Powershot SX530 HS. It has a 50x optical, and I use a crappy tripod, but it would zoom all the way in even if I hold it and get about a 75-80% success rate in getting a good shot, but I still prefer to use my pod. It also can take pics without touching the camera using a app on my phone, but I have still not figured out how to do it, but need to, so I can set the camera, and leave it be while I hit the shutter for it on my phone.

I got it off ebay on Dec 31st 2019 for $97.53 shipped and I love it. Phones are ok for a quick shot, but I use this one for the above, stars, wildlife, people ( :p ),and plants/flowers and stays in my car at all times.

I have a Powershot SX50 HS kept somewhere, can't recall the last time I used it. I enjoyed the 50X zoom feature and took a lot of photos/videos. I think I paid <$100 at Target when it was on clearance.
I've been using a Note 9 512GB and a Note 20 Ultra 5g 128GB for photos/videos. Took a 8K 24Hz video of the 4th of July Fireworks here with the N20 U5G and it used 13.2 GB (24 minutes) on the 512GB microSD card.

Having the massive zoom is great for sure, but I guess the 8K would be nice, but you are limited to huge files, and digital zoom only, so you can only zoom in on the shots so far before looking like crap. The VERY close up shots I took was with the 50x optical, and digital took it to 200X total :O and took maybe 500mb on my card :p

Have yet to try a video on it, supposed to be 4k I think, have to try soon and see what files it makes for I only have a 8GB card in it now.

Another thing I "enjoyed" doing 50X 1080p video were passenger planes as they passed close overhead or way up there with their contrails behind. But framing/tracking them and keeping a steady hand was a problem.
Tried using a gimbal stabilizer or tripod didn't help.
I have a dedicated external HDD where my photos/video from various sources are copied to. Once I fill the memory card/CF./micro sd card I store them in their original plastic package, label which camera/phone used it.
Device gets a new memory card.

Cloud backup storage too - Google Photo/Amazon Photos/OneDrive.

Note 20 Ultra 5G, not sure what zoom is.

Not sure of the camera you have but mine has the nfc and a app for my phone, so I can just set it where I want it, and use my phone to hit the shutter and make adjustments. I have yet to try it, but I would think for the planes to set it up before the plane gets into frame, and as soon as it does hit the button on the phone, reset, reshoot, reset, reshoot :p

The moon does not move as quick as a plane, but it would make it easier for me to get my shots all in a bunch before I will need to readjust my camera for more shots.

Nice. A cousin of mine showed me that feature early 2016. A Samsung NX300 and a LG G4 phone, both android IIRC connected via wireless/bluetooth. Pointed the camera and viewed through the LG, verified that frame/focus was to his liking and pressed a button on the LG to take the photo.
