Went out playing with a new camera and decided to take some pics of the M3. While I would have preferred to show off a pristine, freshly detailed car, I kind of like the driven look and thought I would share these. Plus I promised pics a few years ago and never delivered.

Are you planning to do anything to it?

You may want to get some LUX v4 LEDs to replace the yellow halos. They're pricey but pretty much a standard (and most dependable) mod for anyone who can't stand the old yellow angel eyes.

After owning the car do you wish you would have gotten a C63 or ISF instead? Or... didn't get the car at all and have gotten something else not related?

Was originally going to get the C63 but it didn't work out the way I intended and I ended up with this. A close friend has the ISF and we've swapped cars on occasion and I definitely don't wish I had the ISF, I much prefer the M3. I still probably would have preferred the C63 everything said and done, but I haven't regretted a day of owning the M either so it is a wash.

Dual clutch, which I still have mixed feelings about a few years in.

Why?

I had a 2011 E90 M3 and loved the DCT. I had come from driving an '03 S2000 for 8 years, so I "get" the manual thing but would take a good DCT over a manual any day.

Well the first reason was that my car has some jerkiness at slow speeds which seems to be hit or miss among other M3 drivers, it isn't terrible or anything but it sometimes felt clunky which didn't inspire much confidence maneuvering in my nightmare of a parking garage.

The second reason just had to do with the way I enjoyed the car. DCT is definitely fast and if I was racing competitively I would have enjoyed it more but when I was on a track it was for fun and I felt like I would have had more fun with a manual. Elsewhere it didn't really provide a bunch of benefits without doing things you're not supposed to do on normal roads :)

It's not a bad middle ground solution, just maybe not a compromise I would make on a car that's supposed to be a fun toy.

Nice car! The e46 m3 is the best looking m3 by far (even better than e90 IMHO). I've yet to see the Fxx m3/m4 in person..

Why not get the new m3 or m4? the Fxx is a completely new chassis and a much better car overall compared to the E series bmw

I may get a base 3 to daily to go along with the C7. Still haven't 100% made up my mind. I will be test driving soon.

I believe a decent 328i should cost around 45k.. and the C7 is 100k?
If you can spring upwards of 150k for a new car I would just get a M6 lol

That's a nice GT car but I'm not trying to buy a GT car. I would like a sports car and to go with that I will need a daily driver.
