Wow, that was fun, I always enjoy taking friends up flying. This was his first helicopter flight ever too! :)

Anyway, the winds were very calm tonight, just 8 knots. The sky was clear and visibility was great. Flew to Downtown Dallas and landed at the heliport, then flew over DFW airport and around Lewisville and Addison.

Wonderful night for flying, he has already begged me for a second flight. :D

God I love this job... :)

I took a heli tour of Hawaii once. Right before they imposed a 5000 ft flight limit (Cant go below 5 or 2000 ft. Something dumb...)
Anwyays, the pilot was a retired Air Force heli pilot who had flown in Vietnam. Man, that guy worked a helicopter like I work a telnet session. It was probably one of the best events of my life. I'll never forget one part, he was skimming the ground haulin baldes (Or whatever a helicopter hauls...) going up this gradual hill. Then, just as we reached the top he popped up real fast a little bit and pointed the nose WAY down. And on the other side of that hill was like a 2000 foot drop. And WHOOSH! Down that cliff face we went.
It was awesome! He was one hell of a pilot.

I'll take my first helicopter flight next month when I play the part of downed aircrew floating in the ocean to be picked up by a CSAR chopper. Can't wait!

I was, and technically still am, but I'm not current. Every professional pilot that doesn't come out of the military has to become an instructor to build up time and experience before going on to other jobs. Most CFIs are fairly new pilots because of this.

I fly out of Dallas, mostly air tours and exec transport.

A buddy of mine used to fly executive transport out of Denver. Are you a CF Instructor now or do you have your ABO?

Number 1, he was an annoying bastard
Number 2, he ripped off several traders in FS/FT under a different membername, but because of a dumbass mistake he made naming his directory on his site, they were found to be the same people

I once thought of taking a girl I liked on a copter ride. How memorable would that be? Then I looked at the price and I wept.
