Took a bad fall in the shower last night...

...And I am sore as heck this morning!! After watching the Wild game last night, I take a shower. My two roomates come in with cups of cold water to dump on me (a great prank). 😀 I fill my mouth with water to spit on them when they come in. They dump their cold water on me...and it was COLD...and I spit on them. They are filling up their cups at the bathroom sink for another shot, so I get more water in my mouth to spit at them. The next thing I know, my feet are out from under me. As I fall, the lip of the tub catches underneath my left rib cage and my left hip bears most of the force the fall. My roomates start cracking up at the sight of the shower curtain half ripped down and me laying in the bottom of the tub moaning in pain. In a few seconds, they realize I'm really hurt and the laughing stops. It took me a few to get on my feet. My ribs and hip bruised up are sore as heck this morning. I'm thankful though, it could have been a lot worse than it was.

Moral of the story: Don't fall in the shower...right?? 🙂
 
As soon as I saw the title the first thing I thought of was that opening scene from 'American Beauty'...

"This will be the highlight of my day.."

I would go to the Dr. and get xrays. You could have cracked ribs, or a other possible damage to the hip and socket area. As I stated above, I am no medical expert, that is why I would head to the Dr.

Nah...it's not that bad. Plus, I have no medical insurance at the moment.

You obviously haven't lived with roommates committed to pranks. I did that once and my roommates rigged a system so I was locked in the bathroom. then they cut all power (lights go out) and sprayed shaving cream under the door into the bathroom. Needless to say I couldn't see anything and got shaving cream all over my feet so I had to shower again.

In the end I needed to let them in so I could get out.

 
Better than a guy I knew with massive stitched scars he got from falling through and breaking the glass doors of his shower. He body looked like a carving board. I don't know how he didn't bleed to death.

You obviously haven't lived with roommates committed to pranks.
