I didn't put it in the title, but this is like the holy moly of driving stereotypes

1) Old Woman
2) Old Asian Woman
3) Old Asian Woman Driving a Lexus
4) Old Asian Woman Driving a Lexus Pops a Curb and Wrecks American Muscle

For shits and giggles, check out the reflection in the window in the pic with the driver. Someone looks pissed ;)

Surprised the Pontiac took so much more damage that the Lexus.

No air bag in the Lexus?

Have you seen the way old cars are made? People think of them as "tanks", but they're little more than rolling soda cans.

Today's cars are the true "tanks" on the road. The Lexus likely wasn't even going fast enough to trip the airbag sensor, yet it was enough to turn the Lemans into a junkpile. Just look at how little damage the Lexus has (relatively speaking).

I can't believe how the Lexus basically drove through the side of it. So much for solid frame vehicles being so safe, if you're side swiped, you're dead.

Remember that's also a side impact where the least amount of protection and body strength is. This remains true even for today's modern cares. Those older cars were made with front impact in only.

how is it even possible to do something like this?
She was purposefully pressing the accelerator pedal after going over the curb?

Here there aren't many asians, I've never seen an asian driver.
The only stereotype (apart women and blondes) that crosses the pond and reaches here is the volvo driver.

'69 Olds 98 and '73 Mercury Montego that I had in high school were tanks. They had to be to survive me.:D Mom had a '68 Lincoln, hit a ~'95ish Taurus when she was leaving the highway dept.:)awe:). Nearly totaled the Taurus (ripped front to back), moved the Lincoln bumper over about 4". That's all I got so I'm going to have to go with your opinion and the pics, of course.

Wow. If I was the owner of that car...I would have flipped out on that Asian woman. FLIPPED OUT.

She probably freaked once hitting the curb and her foot was already on the accelerator so in her state of shock probably just depressed the accelerator further (yes, stupid - but most Asian drivers, I'm sorry, they suck) until hit the car and that's that.

plenty of cars in far worse shape have been brought back to life. it's just of a matter of having the will and the means. who knows if the current owner has either.

So, does anyone find it odd that there is a picture of the car right before it got hit?

Question: How much was the LeMans worth (in your opinion) and how much was the estimated damage to the car next to it.

I hope she has enough insurance to cover this or is she going to get sued ....

Maybe yes or no but when I borrowed my dads car 62 plymouth I was rear ended by a lancer. The lancer was crunched in the front and smoking and the rear of the plymouth bumper just moved about 2 inches.
