Too much fat has been oozing from threads lately, so I feel this must be rehashed.

Couch to 5k running program

Do it!! Changing your lifestyle through exercise if one of the most rewarding things you can ever do for yourself. Many people on the boards have done this program with great success, me included. So get off your asses and exercise!

I meant to reply to your post last week, I read the article and its pretty good. The only thing is that I'm ignoring the advice of only 3 times a week, I'll be doing more like 5. In fact me and the wife are going out running after work today

Eat more than you expend - gain weight, eat less calories than you expend - loose weight...

99.5% of all people have no idea what they consume, or how much they expend... this will not help much...

It has to do with a change of your lifestyle, otherwise, temporary starvation/running periods will be counterproductive, increase the risk of coronary disease and diabetes II...

Eat fat you idiots, eat it with every carb meal, eat penutbutter, fat fish, safflower oil... eat it... get your daily protein needs from fish, red meat and do NOT worry too much about the fats that are used to prepare the food (usually benign, sometimes benificial) worry about the fats within foods...

Some foods that is... awww hell, it's too hard to explain it all at once...

I didn't say anything about a TEMPORARY running period. Hence, why I said "a change in lifestyle through exercise." This program gets you running long distances quickly, and the pounds fall off. It's an excellent running program, so take your comments elsewhere.
