Too many stickies in Hot Deals.

I'm posting this in PFI, because frankly it's a personal issue and a gripe, and I know nothing is going to be done let alone considered about it.

There are 10 stickies currently in Hot Deals, 9 of which are advertisements. The sad thing is that of those 9, none of them are hot deals by any stretch of the imagination.

I don't mind Anand trying to make a buck to keep the forums running, but honestly there's already one or more Ad Banners on the page (top and/or side). There's no reason for essentially the first entire screen full of Hot Deals being ads (based on a ~1024 vertical resolution). Especially given that... well... they're NOT hot deals.

That may be true, I'm just saying that you probably have the capability to remove them - you just choose not to since you aren't supposed to.

We need Sub Forums for Vendors/Manufacturers. Then the ads can be removed from Hot Deals.

I agree.

Whatever Anand is making per person with ads, it can't be anywhere near as much as I'm willing to pay for a subscription. Even just $2 per month (or less) would cover whatever he gets from my ad viewing, plus many other members.

Or like Olds said, just make a forum or subforum for referral links. That way we have the choice to buy stuff that Anand can can make a percentage off of. Dynamite Data (which has caused issues) can then be eliminated, too.
