Too many missed school days?

I've skipped about 30 days of school so far this semester (they're excused of course), and I'm wondering if there's a limit to how many days of school I can miss a semester. Also, since I already got accepted into the college i want to go to can they revoke my admission because of my absences even if I'm passing all of my classes?

Edit: The reason for my absences is that the medicine I'm taking for my eye causes side-effects that make me unable to concentrate at school (nausea and diarhea).

Edit2: Also, since the school hasn't warned me of almost or already exceeding the limit of excused absences, does that mean that I'm fine as long as I don't miss any more days right?

Edit3: I go to school in California (Del Paso Heights School District).

When I was in HS 30 days of absences excused or not and it would get me no credit for that years courses.

Probably. Like 1/3 of the days? lol.
The back of my report card from high school says, "State requires 90% or higher attendance in order to earn credit in a course." (That's Texas though).

You didn't say why you missed, but if you just "skipped" for no reason, the rules in your state are something you should have been aware of first.

Gah......All i know is the unexcused days.....In My school district if you have 15 or more unexcused absents you dont get credit and you have to go to family court and talk to the judge about why you have ben skipping and ******......i think its ridiculous but if you have 30 excused absents i dont think theres a problem there....i wouldnt recommend skipping any more though......But your a senior so they are much more lenient......And passing all your classes also helps....so dont worry about it, just dont skip for a while

So you thought asking ATOT would generate a faster and more accurate response than asking your own fvcking school admin?

My friend skipped alot his senior year turns out some family issues arose and the school quit pressuring him. I think if you have a good enough reason it determines the case.

At my high school miss more than 10 days second semester of senior year and you can't goto Grad Night, walk the stage, etc.

Really, how in the world could we know? We don't know your school district rules. There is no universal law that addresses how many days of school you can miss.

most school districts to have "rules" for excused/unexcused days off... but i have to admit, when i was a junior, it seemed like i spent more days not at school than there.
i still graduated without any issues!

in my highschool it was 8 days excused or unexcused and you lost credit. (yes it was a public highschool) Also if you were under 16 they could issue a warrant to have the parents arrested for it.

Each state has a different policy and granted that everyone on ATOT is brilliant and knows everything you should probably check with your school board.

Also, I hope you'll be off the med. before you start college. Cuz profs dont care why you arent there. And you'll struggle if you miss that much class.

QFT

But I am in the same boat as the OP. I can't really miss a day of school for the next 8 weeks or I will lose credit for AP Chemistry. I need to take it again in college anyway, but it would just look bad.

I missed more than 30 days per semester in HS. As long as you do the work/take the tests you should be okay.

Your college likely wont care, unless you fail a course or soemthing, maybe not even then.

Not at all. Whatever the policy is, I'm sure it's well-documented in the student handbook. They don't need to warn you any further.

In my student handbook, it just states policies regarding what can be considered an excused/unexcused absence, but it doesnt say anything about the number of days you can miss.
