Ya, this happens a lot, but sheesh.

Putting aside the several I've already got, more to look at:

Playstation 4 - $400 (The Last of Us, Little Big Planet 3, and many more games also)
Dragon Age 3
The new Wolfenstein
Endless Legend
Dungeon of the Endless
Starpoint Gemini 2
Assassin's Creed Black Flag and Unity
Bugbear's Next Car Game Wreckfest
Far Cry 4
Total War Rome II
Alien Isolation
Witcher 3
Battlefield 4 Premium
SimCity
One of the newer Call of Duty
This is just some of them

This is apart from game I'm not sure about or that don't sound quite good enough like the new Sid Meier Beyond Earth.

A lot of good games worth getting, hard to pick.

Yea. Can't play everything. I think I will give blackguards 2 a try when it comes out.

Plenty of awesome games.Even the new COD looks alright but BF4 pretty much takes about 90% of my gaming time.

Anyone who is gonna play Hardline full time over BF4 is out of their mind, the full price of the game most likely alone will be a insult.

Only good thing about Hardline honestly was that it was stable in beta outside of the bugs, had BF4 beat in the stability department by a long mile.

Battlefield: Hardline will be the first BF game I actually buy on launch. Looks way more interesting to me than BF4 also I'm a big fan of the developer.

The stability and how smooth that beta compare to BF4 pretty much told of a developer who knows what they are doing.

If the price is right i will be buying it for the occasional change in game play. The modes in beta were fun but i did wish for more maps. The single map choice in BF3 beta at first almost turned me off from buying it till Caspian came out and i was like f*** yes this BF,not that Metro rush.

Need more map and game mode choices when it comes Dice games in their beta, even a second map makes all the difference in the world.

Actually Battlefield: Hardline is being developed by Visceral. I think Dice is helping with some engine improvements though, since they develop Frostbite.

Amazon is aggravating me. A couple hours ago, they were price matching 'Endless Legend' at 50% off, 10:00 hits and they stop, unannounced sale and price changes.

So far the last couple I picked up were barely on my radar, Alien for $19.99 and South Park stick of truth for $13.59.

Thinking about Battlefield 4 Premium for $29.99, but EA customer service is a bit aggravating. They have no record of a game that's in my account.

Stick to only 2-3 games. Try not to fire up too many because it will get overwhelming and you'll have a lot of unfinished games.

In my case I have 2 single player games, and a strategy game. Maybe even throw in one sports game but that's it. I don't buy Madden, FIFA, NBA , etc... I'm a basketball fan so I just buy the NBA series and get good at that.

I keep 10 games installed at a time on my PC.

Half of those are constant "go to's" like Diablo 3, Borderlands 2, etc... games that i will always pick up and play until Diablo 4 and Borderlands 3 come out. Games with multiple classes and lots of grind. ARPG's, MMO's, Competitive FPS, Sports games. Those games that you can always log in for 30 minutes or 3 hours and kill time/have fun.

The other half of games are my story/campaign based games that are more one and done. Once I finish all the campaign based games, I'll uninstall them all and rotate in 4 or 5 different ones. Work through those one at a time until all finished, while continuing to play my "go to's" listed in the first half.

I keep BF4 on the primary SSD, anticipated games go to the secondary (A:I or upcoming MGS for example) and impulse purchases go on the external drive. Sometimes I get surprised and games on the external drive get promoted to the SSD, Shadow of Mordor for example.

I forgot Legend of Grimrock 2, I'm getting that - I'd wanted it on gog.com but Steam has the better discount, $17.99 instead of $23.99.

Lots like it now. That old review is about needing Origin, connection issues (gone), etc.

Yeah, now it's polished dog shit. Unless something has changed in the last few months, it's still got several fatal flaws. Far too limited map sizes, horrendous traffic mapping, and your city inevitably self destructing. I picked it up again after they "fixed" the connection issues and what not. Still, without fail, once you get to about 150k people the city just tanks for no explainable reason.

I highly recommend Endless Legend however, I'm completely enjoying that. Civ: BE. If you liked Civ V, you'll probably like BE. If you're expecting something besides Civ V on a different planet, you'll be disappointed.

You can trim that least down substantially.

Well, I held off on SimCity and BF 4 - EA customer service other games, haven't even installed BF 3 yet, etc.

I've heard more people like SimCity now; not so much good on Civ BE, similar to what you said except for not being worth it mostly.

I am planning to get Endless legend - just thought about it until off sale, so next sale.

Oh, if you LOVE tower defense, Bloons TD 5 is probably the best there is.

I've love the web version for years. The desktop version is faster and smoother. Good stuff.

It's the pokemon syndrome. Gotta get em all. Partly that and partly how our minds have been conditioned to look for deals. In the past, due to limited supply and demand, you had to jump on deals or risk never seeing them again.

The difference today is, there is nothing that 'runs out' or is no longer carried. Sure maybe they could stop having uber deals, but someone else will eventually.

I too have had difficulty transitioning my habits, but this year I bought 1 game on GoG and that was it. I've avoided everything else. I simply have too many games I haven't touched and not enough time to play what I have anyway (and still spend 80% of my gaming time on 1 game). It doesn't prevent me from looking, and even adding a few things to my cart, but I've managed to talk myself out of it regardless of how cheap it is. It's not a matter of having money, so much as realistically thinking through if I will actually prioritize playing the game now or it will sit in a queue for a year.

At least for now.... ;)
