Too many fans?

I was wondering if my powersupply can handle my recently bought fans? All i know about the ps is it is a 250w atx. I have 2 hard drives, 2 cdrom, floppy, and about 5 fans running. How do you read the bios and all the voltage numbers? Should i get a stonger ps or what?

Look at what the net power your PSU is producing. Your 250W PSU will generally not deliver the entirety of that to the mobo/peripherals/etc. Depending on your case fans, they should consume between 1 - 2 watts a piece (check the manufacturer), so if you are in danger of browning out your rig, it's not because of the fans! If you're running an Athlon, then you probably need to upgrade in the near future just looking at the list of stuff you've got. However, if you're running Intel with a high-quality PSU, then you're probably okay.

HTH!

I have 2 comps with almost the exact same config. I has a 933 PIII, and the other a 1gz t-bird. How do you read the bios though?
