- first thing first, money is not too much of a problem, but the cheaper the better :) budget of around... 300
- please recommend sites as to where i can buy the items

this is my idea, i'm going to need the following:
-CPU waterblock for AthlonXP and possibly Opteron/Athlon64s
-Chipset/MB waterblock also
-2 radiators for 120mm fans
-waterblock for video/radeon9700 cooling
-a pump and reservoir that can handle this matrix of blocks and radiators

any suggestions and help will be greatly appreciated! thanx!

you can submerge your pc in oil. It's non conductive.

Also it would be very quite.

But you would still need to cool the oil, and naturally the drives would have to be in sealed containers (hard drives) or out of the oil (CD/DVD) to use them..

lol, as much as oil would seem to be a "good" "cooling/spontanious combustion" solution, i rather stick with water cooling. =)

interesting concept tho :D

LOL yeah, u get rid of fans using intel don't ya..

Check out Danger Den They have some good products from some reviews I've read. If not for the 200ish price tag I'd definatly like to get back into water cooling..

hey,

my personal suggestion for watercooling components with budget in mind without sacrificing quality would have to be sysfx dot net, i personally have their block, rad, and pumpank in my machine and its keeping my 1700+ Tbred B @ 2.13ghz at a very chilly 32C...in a 32C ambient, yes thats right, my CPU temp is = ambient. for pics you can check out linkie to see the overall fit and finish of my setup, and you can see my MBM screenshot right here.

Just my advice and $0.02 worth

i got all my parts from becooling and dtekcustom

keeps my 2.5 ghz processor at 43.5C's at 100% load and i can't complain

i use a swiftech mcw5000a wb, a viaaqua 1300 pump, dtek radiator, 1/2 diameter tygon tubing, and water wetter... oh and a 120mm fan and shroud

everything cost me a little more than $200

hows the koolance sets from xoxide.com or vapochill or waterchill?
what's the lowest price for a quiet yet still good but cheep (round 150-200) watercooling setup?

thanks
