I drove by a apartment complex today in anaheim,CA. The complex is about 5 stories, and I think every single unit had a dish mounted on their patio. It just looks weird seeing a compacted apartment complex, with dishes in every unit. Some had 2 dishes? Dish or Dtv should just make one unit than can broadcast to multiple tv's (not just 3 - 5 like how they have it right now).

Directv has dishes and units that can broadcast to 16 TVs- and I expect that they can go higer. The problem is, such equipment is a lot more expensive. Also, the rules right now are set up so that all users of a dish have to be in the same legal residence... I suppose that the apartment manager could put up one dish and maintain it as a business, but again, more money.

Dish needs two dishes to get locals sometimes... Directv usually just needs one (unless you get satellite internet as well)
