LAS VEGAS ? Brock Lesnar retained the Ultimate Fighting Championship heavyweight title by stopping Frank Mir in the second round and Georges St. Pierre put on the performance of his career in blanking Thiago Alves at UFC 100 on Saturday at the Mandalay Bay Events Center.
Lesnar took Mir down and pounded him with rights along the cage, forcing referee Herb Dean to stop it at 1:48 of the second. After the win, Lesnar made an obscene gesture to the crowd with both hands.

People say what you want but brock dismantled Mir!!
NOooooooooooo!!! Brock did NOT get lucky!!
Brock took it to Mir...Mir was dominated!!
Sure technically Mir is the better fighter.
Bottom line!! Brock at that weight class is legit and will be around for a very long time!!
here is some crying that was done --
Excuse #1--- Yeah, that was ridiculous. Brock came into the fight with easily 45-50 lbs on Mir. Mir couldn't control Brock's posture in the slightest. He couldn't move his hips to sweep. I don't think he could even cross his ankles to close guard.
Excuse #2 -- Paper champ, maybe. Everyone knows who the baddest man on earth is, and it ain't Lesnar.
then we have the eternal optimists--
I think Mir will win. He is to smart to even let Lesner into the fight.
I hope Mir can knock Lesnar's huge head in.
Mir will again twist Brock into a pretzel, albeit a very LARGE pretzel.
I just hope Mir wins. He had great boxing skills in his last bout. And lesnar has zero ground game other than laying on someone.
Brock does not know submissions and Mir is excellent. Mir also knocked Nog out, who had previously never been knocked out before in his entire career.
lulz.. he's(Lesnar) by far the worst ground fighter that I've seen since the early UFC's
I am 90% certain Mir will win. The others.. no clue..
Did you watch Mir's last fight, and do you know anything about fighting. Mir looked like a World Class boxer and dazed just about one of the toughest chins on the planet.
Finally I give credit to those who said Lesnar was going to win!!
