Well, I am one of those people who is just so darn lazy, that I hate upgrading my drivers. Well, I guess I just didnt realize the differnece it made. Earlier today I clean wiped my computer, and I decided i'd see what the big difference it'd make to benchmarks to upgrade a single driver. So I chose the one driver that'd maket he biggest effect for me, my video card driver. The one I currently have is 1 year and 7 days old. Not THAT bad. Okay, so my comp is booted up and then I install 3dmark 2001 and I get it up and running.
Before Driver Installation

Program:3dmark2001
Video card:Geforce 2 GTS
Tests Skipped: Nature, Enviroment Bump Mapping, Pixel Shader
Final Score: 3044
I know alot of ya who always update your drivers are gonna say "we know..." but this is jsut for all the people, like me who could care lessa bout drivers. It's worth it 🙂
Does it have about the same increasei n performance if I upgrade the drivers on my mobo also? or is a video card just something that makes the biggest diff in benchmarks.
Thanks,
Perry
