Too Hot?

I have a PIII 450 & an Asus P3B-F. I just set my CPU at 124FSB. The Asus PC Probe is giving me temps of mid 50s C. This is under full load (RC5 ). What is ideal temp at full load for PIII 450 @ 558?

Not sure Micron, but my c2 600 @ 750 running seti is at 41 C with stock fan

What kind of heatsink are you using on that cpu?

I'm using retail HSF.

Your temps are right in line with what the retail heatsink would get you... If you're worried about it running too hot, you may want to try a third-party heatsink.

hrm.. with my Aopen MB mine locks up at like 32*C... wonder if the temp thing is just way off, or what. its really cool in my room tho

Which AOPEN mb is that? Is it based on a VIA133A/Via133 chipset?
