is that idle or load ? That CPU is known as one of the hottest ever made.

that's a good question. if that's idle, it isn't good. the prescott was known by the nickname "nuclear furnace" and it generates a lot of heat. i suggest you lower the OC if that's at idle.

Uh-oh...that's not good then, because that's idle temp. Until I get a good watercooling setup, I'll back off of the OC. Thanks for the advise.

As long as your load temps are below about 67c you should be ok, otherwise you'll be throttling, and getting performance lower than stock speeds..

Thank you all. Just to be on the "safe side" and err on the side of (Maybe extreme) caution, I have decided to wait for OC. For some reason, even though I had my CPU and GPU both overclocked, I was not experiencing any difference in my gaming(?) No higher FPS...
