I've found these two links with the two fans I'm looking into.

http://www.so-trickcomputers.com/Me...de=S&Product_Code=T5&Category_Code=F1

and the panaflo 60mm fan from directron

(well yes I'm looking for a fan to replace my delta black hairdryer.)

while directron claims that the panaflo fan is quiet with high cfm, the spec says that it's Max. air flow: 12 CFM. Max. noise: 24 dB-A... I probably don't know any better, but is 12 CFM really considered "high cfm"??

and the thermaltake fan in the first link... it claims 4550rpm, 31cfm @28dBA .... some really nice stat!! I haven't seen this in any other fans I've looked at..

any thoughts on this??

well with 26cfm and 31 dba..... i think it's still a good fan when you want to have some quietness in a bedroom right =)

and actually, while sidewincomputers.com claims 31 and 31, bestbyte.net lists it as Max. Air Flow 36CFM Noise 31.5dBa

and also, 60x60x25, 31 CFM @ 4550 rpm, 28 dBA from another website...

Is it possible that all three sites are exaggerating the numbers??

Hmmmmm..........

Conflicting reports:

Thermaltake website says 31cfm@26dBa. Way too good to be true.

Someone once told me that it's a screwup (you can look under the label and check or something), and that the fan is acually 21cfm. But...

A "review" I once saw placed the fan right next to the Delta 31cfm fan, but much quieter.

So:

I dunno if it's cually 31cfm, but it seems like it's really worth it .
