Where isekii?

I believe near whiteplains/Rochester it snowed a lil bit. Couple days back when it rained down there.
I know in Boston it snowed as well.

I'm right at the GWB

I'm in the same predicament as you bud. I live in Anchorage, last year we didn't have snow that stuck until December. And I had my snow tires on since October!! HA! Actually, last winter I probably drove on actual snow for maybe two months.

So this year I am hesitant, and a little smarter. I went out, bought my own damn 3.5 ton hydraulic jack and am going to do it my own damn self when the snow starts stickin!

Yea but I'm not too sure as the weathers been very erratic. Super cold one day then Super warm the next.
t
I was gonna wait till about late november before I put it on but it seems like it might even snow anytime soon if we get some moisture.

Last year I didn't even use snowtires, but I dont want to go through this winter without it.

white plains is a looong way from rochester- i live near white plains and can safely say, no snow. I usually dont put snow tires on until december, or snow over 2" is expected in forecast. Snow tires wear out on dry pavement relatively quickly, and have poorer performance, so I'll milk the lack of significant snow as long as I can.

icic I guess then I'll wait on putting the snowtires on another month or so.
My snowtires are like 140 each :( I'd like it to last like 3 seasons.

Haha lucky, the area I live is well plowed and salted.

I live in a very high traffic area. It connects NJ and NY (GWB) so it's very well taken care of in the winter.
Sad to say, when it snowed and it accumilated, I didn't drive my car. Why do you think I got snowtires this season ;)

I had 1 close call last snow season and it wasn't when it snowed a lot or anything.
It was early in the morning where the morning dew on the road froze ( Black ice ) and I didn't even know while I was trying to get into the parking deck at school.
Slid about 15 ft and almost hit the parked car. Missed it by like 2-3 inches to be exact.

Oh yea, I got stuck once on the onramp on the turnpike, when we received like 8 inches all of a sudden.
Cost of towing my car out of the snow = $130 ? But Lexus reimbursed me fully.
They'll cover any type of Towing fee, if they can't send out AAA and call an outside source.

:Q Lexus will reimburse you for ANY towing fee on that car? Is it only during the car's warranty?

Never heard of that before!

I have free roadside assistance. I dont remember how long I have it for. If my car gets stranded certain miles from home, they'll cover the hotel fee's while the car is being worked on.
They'll reimburse you for the towing fee, if they can't get their AAA towing truck out there. I.E AAA doesn't have jurisdiction on State highways. So they had to send out a third party towing company to pull me out of the snow.

I just mail the Lexus reimbursement with a copy of the towing receipt and the case number, they'll mail you a check covering everything. Which takes about 1 week.

We have roadside assistance too (although I think that is over now), but Nissan won't go that far.

But then, we don't have a Lexus so we really can't expect that kinda treatment. :(

I'm not sure which other car company would do this.
I dont think Acura has it. I haven't heard about infiniti having it.
