Tony Hawk on win2k??

I'm having trouble running THPS2 on my win2k prof machine. the specs are:
Duron 650,
128MB ram, Viper V770(32MB) with detonater 6.49,Luckystar MOBO, 10.2 gig HDD, AC97 audio, DX8 ,via kt-133 chipset.every time i double click the shortcut, it says "The application failed to execute properly", gives some weird error code and exits.
i would like to know if anyone out there has successfully run THPS2 on win2k.
the game runs fine under Win ME on the same machine.

I run it on win2k, there is a patch available. You should be able to find with a search engine no problem. Works good BTW
