Pretty good reason. Also, this seems to have been going on for a while, so it's unlikely the poodle will return to his masters lap.

Yeah, if he pick up the medal earlier, the mission wasn't accomplished yet. And now, it could be viewed as a political move for Bush. Perhaps after the election.

Tony Blair, with all the mistakes he made vis a vis Iraq--is a smart man. He is deep enough trouble as it is and can you imagine what Fleet Street would say if he came to America to pick up a sham medal.
