Wooters seem to think it sucks, but I dont know a damn thing about projectors (yet... I might research them when I get my own place, since I want a nice big screen and I can't afford the $2000+ a good bigscreen HDTV costs.)

For what it is, it is a great deal. If you have a ton of sunlight coming in your room, then no 750 lumens is not going to do the trick.. but other than that.. this kicks ....

The 4805 is one of the best fp out there for less than $1500, that is an amazing price for it. A few months ago I paid $1100 for a projector in the same class, Optoma H31.

Can it play Xbox in high def or is the resolution wrong for it?

It won't be hi-def, but it will still look fantastic. I've seen comparisons that chose the 4805 over more expensive 720p projectors. It will accept all signals though and just convert them to it's native res, the scaling is really quite good too. Just make sure you are sitting ~2x the width of the screen back or you will see the pixels.

I'll let you come to your own conclusions about the quality of the projector. As for the price. $700 is pretty average sale price for a refurbished model. Woot has had the same deal quite a few time now.
