So has anyone thought to stroll over to the Atlantis hologram room and just ask the city computer for the Destiny's override codes and maybe some technical info that will help them restore the capability to dial back to Pegasus or Milky Way.

Well gee, if it were that simple, why haven't humans had the ability to build ZPMs since we found Atlantis? I mean obviously a city that required 3 ZPMs to power itself must have the information and/or means to build such items, right?

Gee, people locked on an island and one of them dies and they all start pointing fingers. Really original. Oh wait, in space.

This season has been pretty bad so far. The few glimpses of Space McBoobies and that one time-travelling/flying-chest-burrowing-stink-creatures were the only highlights.

Well at least (from the sound of the summary) they're giving the stones a much-need break.

Stargate SG1 and Atlantis were pretty good. They both had their own quirky sense of humor but in my opinion Universe is sucking it.

People - keep in mind that they wanted SGU to be "grittier and edgier" than the lighter-hearted SG1 and SGA series. Essentially, they wanted BSG. I think Eli got thrown in there just for the actual demographic.

It sounded like they have the information just not the technical proficiency to make ZPMs themselves. The experiments conducted regarding zero point energy also had a habit of being a teensy bit dangerous.

I mean all they really need are the command codes which shouldn't require a whole lot of work to dig out of the Atlantis computer.

the last season of BSG ranks as one of the worst things on television that i've actually continued to watch. i'm sure it could best that.

first couple seasons were great, though.

Anybody know if this is the actual Season Finale, or just SciFi's usual shenanigans of "we'll be back in 4 months" ?

And I'm fine with that. Just give the characters some balls and make them a little more realistic. Right now John Sheppard is more believable than Colonel Young. Everyone's so obsessed with their earth-bound lives on this show that they seem to forget about being stuck on a back-firing broken wreck of a ship on the other side of the Universe that could kill them at any moment. You know, that little annoying plot device that the writers apparently threw in so they could slap "Stargate" on the series. :p

The three people on the show that annoy me the most on the show are Young, Rush, and Lou Diamond. And that angry marine is becoming annoying too.

Finally something happened.
Did it appear the ship they found was the one that took off from Destiny at the end of the first epi?
And, I am guessing that somewhere on that ship is the route that Destiny is following. Which will be how Rush gets back.

It does make you wonder. They stated it wasnt Ancient by design. But then again any ship could have been docked originally. The roundness of the ship and color does resemble the one that took off in a way. I would have to watch that small clip at the end again to make sure, dont think its still on Hulu tho.

LOL Rush asked for what he got. He told Younge he didnt have the balls to make life of death decisions. Just to wake up 2 or 3 hours later with a face full of sand is priceless..

I really like the new series, I think it appeals to a slightly older audience then the original SG1 and SGA did. It does incorporate more drama and I like how the over all plot is more defined in the show. Even though something happens each show, its not the main theme for that episode but the main plot incorporates each episode into the show as a whole. Building up to something much bigger.

If I understood the announcer on Syfy is was the "Mid" season finally. So what does that actually mean? Do we see more next week or are they going to be off for 4 months while filming more of the show?

Best episode so far, I like how the Col stepped up at the end of the previous episode and in this episode, shows a side we haven't seen in previous series in the franchise.

He did make a fatal error in marooning Rush with a spaceship.

Only thing that made me crazy was suggesting a large dose of Lorazepam would bring the guy out of a coma, Giving something like an anti Parkinson's drug would make more sense than giving a sedative...

One of the better episodes if a bit predictable. Everyone knows that somehow Rush will manage to pilot the ship or find some way to communicate with someone and return.

They really need to stop copying shows. This is the almost exact plot line of the original battlestar galactica from the 80's . In the old series they were marooned on ships that had problems like food, they stopped on planets to get them, baltar was exiled for cooperating with the enemy and came back to attack the ships and gloat about his superiority.

The show needs a villain and if they make the move of Rush finding some alien allies to go against the destiny then the copying will be complete.

I like the show personally. It's a different twist on SG. The episodes haven't been your traditional SG "mission" type basis (especially with SG1), but have had more an emphasis placed on the longer story arc.

As for Rush/Young, I think that the writers made a serious mistake with that. It just is bad plot. Young leaves the most intelligent ancient expert marooned on a planet, with an alien spacecraft. Great. So, Rush is going to figure out a way to get the ship working, and find his way back to Destiny. Unless they do some serious plot twist with that, it's pretty weak IMHO.

Eh - I can see it. If I were Young I would be a tad pissed at Tush for framing me for murder. Even though we all know Rush will figure out the new ship I finally think the series is starting to get underway. I liked this episode more than the others

This epi was far better than the Stone-d epi's and even better than the earlier ship based epi's since they finally stopped the incessant "character development" and actually just made a tv show.

Hopefully a corner has been turned. However, this the finale of the first half season, I have to give the show a c-minus on the whole.
