Tonight's Stargate Atlantis & Sanctuary Episodes [01-02-2009]...

you should check out the StarGate Mod for Crysis.

It's not done yet. But it looks cool. They can do it under "fan art" laws since it's a non commercial project.

The SGA episode was pretty good. A total departure from the series, they totally made fun of CSI 🙂

<poke poke> SsssSSSssssh!

But yeah. It's more or less a 40 minute CSI parody...

On one side I am happy it's back and on the other it sucks since it's ending and they are saving the good stuff for the dvd's.

Crappy way to end the series, but that's because they want to save real story to sell us on DVD.

You must have not read any of these threads over the last 8 or so episodes.

On the contrary, after watching it - I'm guessing it sets up the finally and amazingly ties into the main story completely. Color me surprised.

Maybe I missed it, but among the five, what is Helen's special power? Seems like most of them have longevity.

I only watched the first two episodes and then this one, and I was wondering the same. Seems she got the shaft.

Yeah, in a couple of episodes prior, they went into the Five, but I dont remember them mentioning what Helen's special power is.

The only thing I can think of is they all can live forever if they don't get killed, but Helen can't be killed.
btw its turning into the X-men meets the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.

and on Atlantis, the alternate reality they were in was different from the one where the other McKay crossed over into our reality? Because in that reality McKay said Sheppard was part of the team?

I can't stop laughing at the idea of a Wraith in human prosthetics. Not only does it look funny, but in the couple of quick shots where they showed a partial application they would have had to put the human prosthetics over the Wraith prosthetics. It's beautiful recursion.

Anyhow, it was a great episode, which is to be expected since it's episode 100 in the SGA filming order (making it the last filming episode). I'm not sure if this was the gag for episode 100, or if we'll get something next week for episode 100 of the airing order. I can't believe there's 1 episode left.🙁

As best as I can tell, this episode was set in a 3rd established reality. There's the first reality where SGA is set, the second reality where Rod came from (and went back to), and then the Vegas reality. Since Shepard was on Atlantis in Rod's reality, this Vegas reality can't be the same one. That of course means Vegas McKay has been opening his own rifts and going places...

It also raises a few questions, since in the main reality the Wraith know where Earth is and they just can't get to it. Somehow in the Vegas reality they had the means to get to Earth and just not the location, so I'm left wondering where that will put the series next week.

Edit: And don't forget the Star Trek joke. That was classic 😀

Hmm. Did I miss it?

lol, what a crappy way to end the series. If they had built up to this abit, it could have made a nice continuation to the story arc. But the lets just give the wraith earths location so we can have a big fight to send the series off to dvd is a fitting laughable end given how this season has gone.

but at least we have sanctuary, where we have a drone doing hot dog maneuvers in flight followed by a poor example of an explosion. but on the plus side we have magnus cleavage in full bloom when she answer the door.

during the episode she mentions using her blood to combat the infection, so type of healing power it seems.

McKay: Maybe he got a job as a Klingon at Star Trek: The Experience.
Woolsey: That's shut down
Zelenka: Really? I wanted to see that.
