Amanda Tapping is the only reason I switched over after the SG-1 went off the air.

Conventional wisdom holds that after last weeks special effects extravaganza the next few epi's will be story centered.
Even so, it has an interesting storyline. Maybe we find out more about the Wraith.

btw the relative strengths of the factions are really screwed up. I understand the writers necessity of making the Ancients less powerful so the Wraith could beat them, but now Earth has ships with Asgard weapons that can apparently destroy an Ancient warship with one shot.
And since the Wraith only started with about 60 hive ships and have lost some to humans, and apparently a bunch to the Replicators, it is actually within reason that Earth can actually build a competitive fleet against the wraith. Especially considering the new Asgard weapons which should take a wraith hive quite easily, considering what it did to the more powerful Replicator ships.
Which really makes the Ancients original loss to the Replicators seem even more improbable.
I guess they would need to give some backstory on how the only Ancients who were left to fight the Replicators were so affected by the plague that was killing them they couldn't function at their usual high level......

Four words for you, it's a TV Show. ;)

I was a bit concerned how they 'underpowered' the ancient warships. In SG1 the drones bypassed shields and laid waste to ships. Hell, even in Atlantis drones laid waste to Wraith ships in an instant. My only though is that the replicators can't control them as well for some reason. Thoughts?

The replicators should be better at doing battle if anything. I think the show creators just got sloppy. Or the Asgard defense/weapons technologies have become a lot more advanced than Ancient tech in the millennia (eons?) since the Ancients' departure.

Well that was certainly an interesting story, I didn't see that plot twist coming. The Ancients really did do it to themselves.:( I loved the Wraith birthing scene though, now we can finally answer the question "Mommy, where do baby Wraith come from?" :p

And that's what, the second Hive ship the humans have captured & trashed and the 4th Queen they've killed? Andee Frizzell (the actress that plays all of the Queens) is certainly by now approaching the record for the most times an actor has been killed on a Stargate series.:Q

PS Call this a shot in the dark, but I've got $5 on Teyla's baby getting snacked on by the Wraith. What better way to allow her to be pregnant during filming and yet not have to deal with writing a baby in the series than to have it snacked on a bit so it gets drained of some of its age (resulting in it growing up). Many TV shows like to artificially age children anyhow.

The episode is mostly about the Wraith. ( Love the Wraith)
I never knew they were in a Civil War.

Another thing is that we now know that some of the ancient ships were equipped with ZPMs. I would imagine that the replicator ships were not othewise the human ships would have been no match for them.

Lol, that queen was so bitchy :p Also, those Wraith caves remind me of Oblivion Daedric caves.
