If memory serves, at some point in the original superman, it's mentioned that Lana is the only person from Clark's past that knows his secret (aside from his parents and those other weirdos).

The problem with this show is that they're trying too hard to keep them young, and it's ending up like the last season or two of That 70s Show. At first it was cool that they weren't going to have him fly, or wear the cape, or do any real Superman stuff, since they wanted to stay away from all that. But now I think viewers kind of want him to do that, to take the next step towards finally becoming Superman. They need to have one last season, to tie it all up, and just finish it up. Have him become Superman, have Lex go 100% evil, have Lex's father die, everything that basically ends the series right where the first Superman movie begins.

Watching the episode now (finally), and already the format is pissing me off. The whole, multiple views of the same events over the course of the day, just time filler. Only 11 minutes left and I can't see anything extraordinary happening here.

I actually thought it was a good episode, although sure, it could've been better.

But I'll agree that this or next season needs to be the last. They've already had various hints as towards Clark becoming more like Superman; now that we've seen everything he's had to give up/sacrifice over the past few years, it's time for him to make that final leap.

Edit: and it was a bit of a cheesy/chiche' twist to suddenly pull a 180 of the last three or so seasons in about 10 minutes by having Lana keep a secret in an attempt to protect Clark. Although it's nice to see John Glover getting back into the swing of things.

I will say that for about half of the episode, between the first scene between Clark and Lana, and the office scene between Lex and his father, I thought there was going to be some sort of shapeshifter walking around pretending to be the two of them.

I will say that for about half of the episode, between the first scene between Clark and Lana, and the office scene between Lex and his father, I thought there was going to be some sort of shapeshifter walking around pretending to be the two of them.

It was an alright episode, like I said though, nothing great. The ending definetly made up for the first 3/4 of it though, although the whole strung out drama is getting a bit much.

I still think my favorite scene in any episode is the funeral for Whitney's father. Just very well done IMO, one of the highlights of the whole series.
