i got my nice juicy C1 2.4B today, only to find that my 845D based motherboard refuses to go over 150 mHz. i ran this in my friend SIS 648 based board, and the damn thing seems to hit 3.1 stable at 1.65 volts. well, clearly 155 mHz on the FSB ain't gonna do that, so i need a new board. i'm a little strapped for cash right now, so i don't wanna spend a ton of money. it seems that slightly beat up EPoX EP-4BDA's like mine sell for about $40-50, so i can spend about $50 after selling my current board. what motherboard would you guys reccomend for someone in my position? thanks!

My 4BDA2+ would top out @ 161 FSB with my 2.4B C1. I sold it for $50 and picked up an Albatron PX845PEV Pro on the FS/T for $70. I'm running 170 FSB, 3.06 GHz, 1.55 Vcore. I can go higher with more Vcore, its a CPU limitation. People are getting into the 180+ FSB out of this board. I've seen them go for $60 on FS/T. They are ~ $82 new @ Newegg.

Edit HERE is one on the FS/T for $60.

I too had a PEV Pro and my current processor would do 185 in that board w/o any mobo stability problems. Plus it's so damn cheap :D
